ON-ARRIVAL TRAINING

From November 20^th until the 24^th we attended the On-Arrival Training. It’s a training every long-term volunteers (more than 3 months) must take part in when they arrive in their EVS destinations. We travelled from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Bucharest and we were divided into 3 different groups. 64 volunteers from different countries of Europe and partner countries close to Europe together the whole week!

We basically received some information about what EVS is, what to expect from our sending and hosting organizations, how insurance works… So, all the practical stuff. But we also learnt some energizers, group dynamics and how to deal with conflicts. After all the work we had some time to relax and to explore the city of Bucharest and its nightlife.

The experience was awesome, and we met a bunch of nice and awesome people who work as volunteers all over Romania now for the next few months. So now we can travel around to visit them and learn a bit more about Romania 😉
