Stray Aid Romania was created by our Polish volunteer- Kasia- and it is her personal project here.  Overwhelmed by the situation of stray animals and animal shelters in Romania, she decided to do her best to help as many of them as possible.

She took three puppies from a shelter, paid for their stay in a clinic and after that in a dog hostel, as she found them permanent homes in the Netherlands. They can be transported there only after a serie of vaccines and 3 weeks „quarantine”. As she has a small volunteer budget, it is impossible to cover all expenses so she created an online crowd funding.

In the meantime, Kasia found home for other two puppies from local people and helped one kitten (this together with project-mates).

The main missions of Stray Aid Romania is:

  1. Consciousness-raising, education about stray animal issues.
  2. Sterilization.
  3. Providing first aid for stray dogs/cats in need.
  4. Promoting adoptions and looking for permanent homes (in Romania and abroad) for stray and shelter dogs and cats.
  5. Supporting other initiatives in the field of animal help.
